Covenant Evening Meeting?
Deciding whether to come this Sunday? Here are some thoughts to consider...
Come to the Covenant Church meeting Sunday...
To learn about God! This Sunday we'll have opportunity to read the Bible and pray. And as we do so, to hear God's sweet promises to us, and his love for we who are his people.
“For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.” (Psalm 56:13, ESV)
To be transformed! As the Holy Spirit applies the Scriptures to our hearts, there's little so good as hearing and discussing the Bible, and realizing the fresh opportunity we have to endeavor that moment to walk with Jesus.
“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,” (Deuteronomy 30:19, ESV)
To experience forgiveness! The forgiveness for our sins this past week, and beyond, and hope for the future. It's a great joy to walk in the light of the forgiveness that the Lord Jesus has accomplished for his people on the cross.
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,” (Ephesians 1:7, ESV)
To enjoy community! The Covenant Church people are wonderful. It's a joy to talk together and to catch up with one another and to share how God is at work in each of our lives and the church.
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7, ESV)
To eat great food! We always have some "cheesy" snack, whether pizza or nachos, and desserts and other delicious treats.
“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,” (Acts 2:46, ESV)
To have fun! Our meetings are a lot of fun. It'll be a great night this Sunday!
