Launch of Weekly Public Worship

Dear friends,

As we draw near to the launch of weekly worship, I want to take a moment to look back at the last couple of weeks and ahead to the next couple of weeks.

Looking back,

A big "thank you!" to everyone who participated in the self-care bag assembly evening. Covenant Church made 30 large bags and 129 smaller bags. That's not a typo — 129 small bags! Each bag is filled with nail polish and other items that will certainly brighten the day of each person who receives one.

Another big "thank you!" to Rev. Dan Myers who spoke to us at our Sunday evening gathering and encouraged us to continue with perseverance in the hard work of starting Covenant Church. "Thank you!" as well to Danielle who came from New Creation church to visit Sunday.

Looking ahead,

Tonight at 5:00 PM! We'll be dropping off the self-care bags to Family Services of Burbank and receiving a tour of their facility. Please let me know if you'd like to join Amanda and me on this.

This Saturday my alma mater FAU takes on San Diego State in the NCAA Final Four. I'll be grilling burgers and hot dogs at home starting at around 2:30 PM. Please join us for a great time watching the game on Saturday.

This Sunday we'll have our regular evening gathering from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

And next Sunday we'll gather for our third Preview Service at 160 S. Victory Blvd. as we celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus at 10:00 AM.

Friends, let's remember in prayer Covenant Presbyterian in Nashville and the families affected and the people of Nashville. I'm nearly certain that it was the website of Covenant Presbyterian in Nashville that about a year ago I providentially stumbled across and from that began to think that "Covenant Church" would be a good name for the church here.
